Sculptural Relief + Blanket Mold Workshop

from €30.00

Beginner-friendly mold making workshop

Date: Saturday, May 23, 2026
Time: 13:00 to 16:00

Location: Soft Power Studios
Language: English

This workshop is designed for adults who want to explore the basics of mold making while also being introduced to new, resourceful materials. Ideal if you have an interest in repetition and making multiples of one design.

What to expect

We'll begin with an introduction and demonstration of building a relief and working with oil based clay. The next hour or so you will create your own relief. You can bring your own design or work with a design we've provided.

Once the reliefs are complete, you will be instructed on how to make a silicone blanket mold of your piece.

While your silicone mold cures, you will be shown how to cast various materials into your mold.

All resources and materials will be provided, and you will leave the class with your own 10 x 15 cm silicone mold.

A short break in the middle with tea and coffee: time to pause, chat, and reset.

The atmosphere

This is not a traditional class. It’s in an open space to relax, unwind, and enjoy the process of sculpting and learning new techniques.

No stress. No judgement. No pressure to be “good”.

Who it’s for

Truly anyone! Whether you’re a beginner who has never sculpted before, or an artist looking to add a new skill to your repertoire. We want everyone to feel welcome and eager to learn.
