A focused photography workshop for beginners who want to take more intentional images.
Date: April 12th
Time: 12:00PM - 2:00PM
Ages: 18+
Location: Soft Power Studios, Berlin
Language: English
Experience level: Beginner to early-stage
Equipment: Phone or camera
What you take home: A photo series exploring light and contrast
This session introduces photography through one of its most important elements: light.
Instead of focusing on technical settings, we’ll work with what’s already available — natural light, shadow, and the spaces around us.
You’ll learn how to:
Use light to create mood and atmosphere
Work with shadow as part of the image
Find strong compositions in everyday environments
Take more intentional photos with simple tools
We’ll begin with a short guided introduction, then move into hands-on exercises inside the studio and outdoors nearby.
A relaxed, supportive environment
Short, clear guidance (no technical overwhelm)
Practical shooting exercises you can immediately apply
Time to create your own images during the session
Optional group sharing at the end
This is not a lecture — it’s a space to practice seeing differently.
Complete beginners
People who feel stuck or unsure where to start
Artists or creatives wanting to reconnect with image-making
Anyone interested in photography without the pressure of being “good”
No prior experience needed.
Soft Power Studios
We will spend part of the session outside, so please dress for the weather.
Small group for a focused experience
No editing apps required
No photography theory or technical jargon
Just attention, practice, and curiosity
Chairs with back support available
Break with tea
Please note: the space is not wheelchair accessible
