Enter / Exit: A Workshop in Embodied Action
€35.00
Led by Getsay, this workshop explores arrival and departure as embodied performance actions. Through guided exercises, participants investigate how entering and exiting—both physically and conceptually—can serve as material for live work, focusing on repetition, attention, and presence rather than theatrical expression. Drawing from their international practice in live art, photography, and sculpture, Getsay facilitates a structured and welcoming environment where participants of all levels can experiment with how timing, gaze, speed, intention, and refusal shape meaning within minimal action.

What you take home: A repeatable performance structure and embodied research methods
The workshop begins with a brief historical introduction situating entrance and exit within performance and conceptual art lineages. From there, participants move into a series of guided scores exploring physical and conceptual thresholds: entering a space, entering attention, exiting speech, exiting visibility.
“Enter” and “exit” are understood not only as physical movement, but as shifts in presence, commitment, and perception. Participants work individually and in small groups, alternating between performing and witnessing.
No prior performance experience is needed. The emphasis is on clarity, attention, and experimentation rather than skill or polish. Curiosity, comfort with repetition, and willingness to observe are all that’s required.
